Leo frank case
Leo Frank was an Jewish American engineer and Superintendent of a national pencil company. He had moved from the north and his factory was stationed in the south. Many of his employees were young christian girls. Many southerners didn't like him and to make it worse, he was accused of the murder of Mary Phagan, one of his employees. The only two suspects were Frank and the janitor of the factory. Leo was found guilty and sentenced to death. However, the Governor at the time, didn't believe the janitors many stories and instead sentenced Leo to a life sentence in prison. Unfortunately, there was a re-emerging of the KKK, the Knights of Mary Phagan, after this trial. They thought Leo deserved to die. They arrived to his prison around 10:00 pm, and managed to capture Frank after cutting telephone wires, emptying gas from prison warden's cars, and handcuffing the prison wardens. They then handcuffed Frank, and tied his legs at the ankles. They placed a 3/4 rope over his head, and tied a hangman's knot so it forced his head backwards and broke his neck.
